We are hiring for the role of Production Editor.
The significance of the role is that Production Editor is to communicate directly with the author and clients to facilitate movement of all print and digital products within a program before it moves to the production phase. Production Editor is responsible for the full lifecycle of a program (main title plus supplements) from author engagement through close-out.
Managing project schedules and scope. Monitoring and oversight of authors, subject experts, and vendors in terms of meeting program requirements (scope), schedule, budget, and quality. Managing and mitigating risk, budget oversight, managing and updating stakeholders, and ensuring final product scope and quality. Provides high level oversight for schedule adherence. Troubleshoots / consults as needed, escalating issues. Coordinate reviews with internal and external parties. Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Associates degree or higher preferred Strong writing and self-review skills Able to oversee multiple projects Experience managing content creators (authors, subject matter experts, freelancers, accuracy checkers, etc.) and confirming content quality. Excellent customer service skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with a need to communicate with offshore team members. Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to understand, query, and implement feedback
Salary: INR 2,50,000 - 4,00,000 PA.
